[Dream] The old making way for the new.
I have had dreams two nights consecutively now about a theme that we are facing at this time. I write about the dreams here in order to help myself make sense of them and also integrate the lessons they are pointing to.
Dream 1, Wednesday morning, September 19
A brother comes to visit me. He and his disciple arrive unannounced. They tell me they paid such and such an amount to the driver who brought them there. I tell them they should have paid less, and perhaps they were cheated, but as the order always provides for them, we end up with the conclusion that they should simply bless the incident as further proof of God's abundance and be thankful.
They want to take me somewhere within the school where there are many good things to buy (a bazaar of sorts on campus). So we decide to hire a vehicle to go there instead of walking. We only find an open-air vehicle. It is like being on parade, making the journey in the back of the pick-up. At some part of the trip to the bazaar, the vehicle becomes more like an open garbage truck with nothing in it except ourselves.
When we arrive at the bazaar, however, we lose the disciple. There is only my brother and myself now. We want to go to a shop but find ourselves in a laundromat where we make our way through the neat piles of clothing into a chute to be washed. I am surprised that my brother decides to climb one of the chutes in order to reach another part of the laundromat. He does not see there is an easier way through. But I make my own way to that corner we want to reach while he takes the chute (he insists it is faster). I climb over piles of neatly folded clothes to get there more directly while the chute leads my brother to a detour. Although we end up meeting in the corner before our next destination, it is okay. The detour was interesting, anyway.
Dream 2, Thursday morning, September 20
Part I.
A woman and her son are walking through the basement of an old house. They are afraid of the ghosts here, but they go through with courage as best as they can. The ghosts keep them from going up the stairs. After they speak to the portraits in a hall, they are finally shown the safe way up, where there is more light.
Part II.
When they reach the upstairs, though, the pair turns into a young woman. She is gifted and has many paintings. But she has returned home to find her parents seeming to favour her sisters, some of whom are still young and childlike. She returns home dressed in black and red. She is angry that they have favoured the younger ones although she has always been faithful in serving. She voices out her discontent to herself. On her way to her room, she sees one of her youngest siblings below, playing with her toys. She thinks about dropping something heavy on the child from this balcony she is standing on to crush her and she does, but misses. The parents' voice makes the object fall to one side harmlessly. [end of dream]
I love dreams because they mean so many things at the same time, like our multidimensional selves.
I lift up these dreams and their messages to the Light and Love that surrounds us now. May we all find our way home together as one and break through the old illusions we are letting go of at this time.
