Why Do Animals Do This?

Why does my cat do weird things? He is a blessing and a wierdo at the same time! I love him very much but he does things I do not understand. It is always when I am in a room he has to be in the same room as me! If I do something he wants to do the same thing. He even puts his paw on my leg and put the other one on me to ask me to pet him! He has even tried to put his paw on my computer keyboard. When I am on the phone he goes around the house like a herd of elephants, then he will go sit on the bed like he did nothing. He is the most loving cat I have ever met! He is the host when people come people here to give some love to them. He makes them feel invited. A lot of people want to bring him home with them! I can not give him up cause he is mine. He even eats with me and if I have the cottage cheese or yogurt out then he will go to me and eat it. He also likes Chex cereal too. Why does he do this to me? Can cats be angels? If so how can they be? How can they be totally in tune with our feelings? When I am sick he is all over me and will not leave me alone. It gets fustrating sometimes!
