His names means "Hope" (also "face of God") - he is an appropriate angel when you are in need of comfort and reassurance as he is known to be a good "listener".

"The archangel of penance and one of the 4 angels of the presence, the other 3, as usually given, being Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. His name is used sometimes in magic(k) to ward off evil spirits. In Enoch I Phanuel is equated with Archangel Uriel. He is associated with the Seraphim and Cherubim classes".
