RE-MEMBERING Who are you? What are you? Can you answer that question? How shall you show yourself? Are you being real? Are you being authentic? What is real or authentic? Do you re-member? Answering these question is one of the biggest mysteries your mind attempts to solve. To re-member is to recall again; remain aware of. If you look at both of the hyphenated words, it remains the same and also changes. A member is a part of a body, group; a distinct part of a whole. Re is based in Latin meaning again or again and again. Using these definitions, re-member is to recall being a distinct part of a whole again and again. The mind asks, “What whole am I a part of? How do I have ability to know myself?” What the mind does not want to reflect upon is its lack of specialness as consciousness. It would prefer to believe that it is a special expression of individuality and what it sees and experiences belongs to it alone. The sense of separation that is induced by this constant determination to be disconnected, disunited creates a deep sense of aloneness expressing as loneliness. This sense of “being alone” arises from the lack of re-membering that you are a part of a whole. Often this whole is referred to as the Divine Hologram or All That Is. It isn’t important what you call the “wholeness”. What does require your attention is re-membering (again and again) that you are an integral part of something that is much bigger than you believe yourself to be. Since a hologram embodies the wholeness of itself in each part, you are all that is within All That Is. This comes down to conscious awareness of yourself in relation to everything in your environment. Even the trees, plants and animals are conscious and while humanity would prefer to believe that its consciousness outweighs that of the natural world, one would wonder about the quality of that consciousness if its drive is for separation. Truly it is not. Consciousness embodied within your human form desires only to know itself in relation to everything else. It is constantly uniting with itself in many different aspects (this is the re-membering). Re- membering that you are this consciousness (the answer to the original question) imbues you with the ability to know yourself as all that is, the Divine Hologram or whatever word(s) you wish to use to express yourself as source consciousness in a human body. Though many would suggest that this time in humanity’s experience relates to developing “higher” consciousness this phraseology is imbued with multiple dualistic aspects. The idea of “higher” connotes the opposite – “lower”. Consciousness simply is yet it is the aware intention that causes it to be experienced rather than achieved or attained. Conscious awareness of re-membering is realization that each aspect appearing single or separate is actually an integral part of the whole. Each single, individuated perception influences, informs, re-forms and transforms the whole with every breath. The underlying basis for conscious awareness is this – the infinite informing of the whole without attachment to any occurrence or outcome. As you re-member that you are a living breathing aspect of the whole, as you breath into the whole and receive its breath in return, the sense of aloneness, Most people who do not take the time to release and relax from day-to-day activities suffer from the stress and tension that is consistent with not being aware of feeling in the body. Re-membering increases the ability to feel the oneness, the lack of separation and to experience consciousness as the one conscious experience. Take the time. Once awakened to the source connection that feeds the soul, you are guided slowly and accurately to that space in which you begin to re-member. Apply re-membering to your daily life. Meet your family, friends and acquaintances from a space of re-membering. How do you wish to be treated? Treat them as you. How do you wish to be seen? See them as you. You are sacred. See them as sacred. Interact within your daily life from the space of divine re-membering. The quality of life will change immensely and soon you will be reflecting that you no longer re-member when you did not re-member. |
