Recurring locations in my dreams

For as long as I can remember I have always had dreams of two different locations. The interesting thing about these dreams is that they vary in what I'm doing but the location and scenery never changes. One location is peaceful and very vivid, the other is dark and I have so much fear when I wake up.

1st location:
I am in this castle that looks like my home. Everything is exactly where it should be but as I walk into a foyer I glance to my left and see a long dark hallway. As I stand at the end of the hallway I look down and see the one single door at the end but will not move towards it. I fear this hallway and never go down. Then it changes to being in the basement of the castle, it's cold, dark and wet and I'm running franticly around this basement trying to get away from whatever is chasing me. I don't see any other parts of the castle other than the basement, foyer and long hallway I will not go down.

2nd location:
The dream always starts with me walking to my destination. I start off knowing the location but then it changes to this long dirt road that leads to a beautiful green garden with a river. As I start towards the garden I see a path with beautiful flowers to the right of the path. I walk down this path as it leads me to this river. Sometimes the river is rough, and other times it is barely moving. When I reach the bank I realize that in order for me to get to my destination I have to travel down the river in a float. I always get on the float and enjoy the time but I always have to turn back because I always see a huge CLOSED sign in the middle of the river.

If anyone can give me some insight I would greatly appreciate it. I feel that these might be from a past life but I'm having some difficulty figuring it out.
