Gnosis, Good News for the Third Millennium

My book, Gnosis, Good News for the Third Millennium, is a modern Gnostic gospel. "Gnosis" (No-sis) is a Greek word for knowledge, but not knowledge as in book learning knowledge. This sort of knowledge is revealed knowledge; knowledge through inner revelation via communication with one's inner divine spark.

When most people think of Gnosticism they associate it with Christianity because most of what we know of Gnosticism comes from that tradition. But Gnosticism is not a religion and it’s not related to any religion. Even in antiquity, there were pagan Gnostics as well as Christian Gnostics. Gnosticism has always transcended any particular spiritual discipline because it’s more of an approach to one’s own spirituality than it is a spiritual discipline.

Gnosticism is not concerned with dogma, lists of do’s and don’t’s, divine retribution, or the outer trappings with which religions often concern themselves. At the heart of Gnostic thought is the primacy of individual experiential knowledge - or gnosis – obtained through the transcendent experience of one’s own existence.

Because the transcendent experience which leads to gnosis is universal to nearly all of the world’s mystical traditions, Gnosticism invites the individual to draw upon any and all of the world’s spiritual paths from Taoism to Buddhism to Hinduism to Paganism to Christianity...and probably as many other -isms as you can think of.

My book, Gnosis: Good News for the Third Millennium calls on you to navigate your own path inward to the transcendent experience of your existence...and to make the truth your own.
