TONIGHT WE ARE FREE

tonight

you and I

sail across the sky

dropping diamonds in our wake

wishes fulfiled

sky of joyous tears they make

we circle over the sea

spying mermaids tending lawns

clearing seaweed with palm fronds

we color the moon orange

catching sweet love falling on lips

the air light with sound

starts to get crisp

you borrow my sweater

with holes in sleeves

patched up with Autumn leaves

time to land

you dont want to go

you want to make angels in the snow

tomorrow night we'll fly, I say

to a place beyond the sky

we'll find a great winter tree

where underneath the angels be

already there

combing each others golden hair

we'll talk of our adventure the night before

share laughter and love

but then again once more

we'll descend back home

our souls having truly grown

and share the light with those around

through the most powerful sound
