Vedic Astrological Outlook on 2012-With Outer Planets Included

Right now, the nodes of the Moon are in Leo and Aquarius. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn in Hindu or Vedic Astrology. Leo by the Sun. Saturn is about heavy lessons, but the Sun brings the light of life to it.

May 2011 until Dec of 2012 Rahu and Ketu, the nodes of the Moon, eclipse points, will be in their signs of debilitation (Scorpio and Taurus respectively), This makes both enlightenment (Ketu) and worldliness (Rahu) difficult.

* Those born between September of 1955-February of 1957 will have a Nodal return then. It's typically life changing or at least, cage rattling. The issues they were born with to let go of and to incorporate will come full circle then. Could be a celebration time as well.

After Dec 2012, Rahu, the illusionary south node of the Moon, will be in Libra, balance and Ketu will be in Aries, new beginnings- out of debilitation!

* Rahu, in Libra, the sign of Venus; love will be compelling and so will justice. Restlessness, disturbances around worldly knowledge, life giving drugs, financial sectors, the beauty industry, marriages will be noticed.
* Ketu in Aries, Mars' sign of new growth of enlightenment, explosive renewal, change of command as Mars is military leaders.

In 2014:

* Then Rahu will be in Virgo in August of 2014. This is the earthly sign ruled by Mercury. Mercury rules all things green, hopefully a resurgence in gardens and a serious look at the polluting of all that is green!
* And Ketu will be in Pisces, the sign of Jupiter or Neptune, the higher knowledge, water planets and these areas will be showcased. This will show a major turnaround in the world of pollution both land and sea.

Barbara Hand Clow said, astrologically whatever happened during the conjunction of Uranus and Pluto (in the revolutionary sixties 1964-1968), would manifest globally as soon as these two planets reached their first square (90 degree angle ) to each other.

Uranus will be square Pluto exactly in June of 2012 until April of 2017, signifying the beginnings of the global revolution.

Pluto is in Sagittarius, the sign of Jupiter, the teacher, lawyer and judge, 2005-2020.

Uranus will be in Pisces, the watery, dreamy, spiritual sign of Neptune.

Neptune will be in Aquarius, the sign of Uranus/Saturn signifying Utopian/spiritual groups. As Neptune and Uranus will in each other's signs, their energies will be well attuned to one another. Neptune has to do with the process of enlightenment. Uranus has to do with revolutionary ideas.

In the sixties Neptune was in Libra, the lovers sign. Neptune represents higher love or delusions. This time Neptune will be in Aquarius (love in groups, community), 2009 till 2023! And it's ruler Saturn will be in the lover's sign of Libra. So could be!

Saturn was in Aquarius, it's own sign, until 1967 which was when Hair was produced on Broadway, describing the events theretofore."it questions the standards of morality, sexuality, individualism, racism, violence, drug use, loyalty, and social acceptance". There were court cases protesting the nudity and sexual content. Saturn was in high minded, watery Pisces by then, ruled by Jupiter, the lawmaker and judge.

Saturn will be exalted in Libra by 2012. So the significations of Saturn's sign Aquarius, the group oriented significations will balance. Co-ops, oil industry conglomerates will work together for the common good in harmony. When Saturn is strong the workers do well, the masses. Justice returns and prevails.

As US has an important say in the changes happening all over the world, we can look at it also:

Now, the country is in Ve/Me, and as Mercury, L11, is weak and afflicted, US is going through an important economic/financial crisis.

In July 2010, US will enter Ve/Ke. Ketu is in the 8th from Venus, and both are badly placed, as H3 is a mild dusthana. Things will be very difficult in US and all over the world.

Then the 6 years of the Sun will start. [9/2011] The Sun is badly placed in D1 and D6, and in a preeminent position in D8 and D12 (H10). Su/Mo (12/11), Su/Ma (2012), and Su/Ke (2016) will be particularly difficult, as the bhukti lords are badly placed regarding the Mahadasha lord.

Su/Mo and Su/Ma will fall exactly on these "difficult years" that many spiritual movements are predicting. Let us hope the collective consciousness is already more enlightened at that time.

as D9 gives insights similar to D1, if you look to the present and future dashas [planetary periods] in D9:

Ve/Me - As Me is retrograde, it falls in the 9th and 8th houses from Venus

Ve/Ke - As Ketu is in 6th from Venus, and placed in H7, it will bring conflicts/war with foreign potencies.

Su/Su - As the Sun is in H6, its dispositor Mars is in the 6th from the Sun, and afflicted by Ketu, things will not be easy.

Su/Mo - The afflicted Moon in the 12th from the Sun, it will bring severe losses.

Su/Ma - Afflicted Mars in the 6th from the badly placed Sun will bring a peak to the conflicts.

Su/Ra (2012) - Rahu in the 8th from the Sun will bring profound changes.

Su/Ju (2013)- some relief is seen onwards...
