Answer To A Prayer
In all my work in Stockton, I had reached a point where something was missing and I wasn't the one capable of providing the missing ingredient. I needed a structure, a skeleton, to hold up the flesh of projects I was creating. In meetings with co-workers, I kept saying, "We need to structure this in order to move forward," and they would look at me open-eyed, with nothing to say. I was a little frustrated, wanting to move forward, but not knowing how. I knew we needed a structure in order to move forward.
At the Holistic Living Expo in January, one of my co-workers came up to me and said, "You must meet Matthew." Matthew is the visionary behind a group which calls itself CircleCenter, in Fairfax, CA. He invited me to a weekend workshop on "Birthing New Hubs For Conscious Community: Co-Creating A Planetary Network of Light". That's where I went last weekend.
My structure! Thank you, Goddess! Matthew and others presented tangible tools and guidance for starting vibrant community hubs for the emerging global culture of peace, practical models for starting and running community spaces, and the new paradigm ideas and technologies for activating this network.
I will be importing this two-day workshop to Stockton this summer, for presentation to the many higher consciousness groups I am aware of, which still see themselves as isolated rather than an integral part of a Stockton grassroots community. Yahoo! It would be great to get the Mayor and City Council members there, too, to infuse them with some new paradigm thinking!
The basic idea is to start with a space and declare it a community space, where people can exchange their needs and services. If you had a space where you could do what you've wanted to do all your life, what would you do? Some do art, some music, some dance, some start alternative schools, some start organic gardening groups, etc. It's about listening to your heart/spirit and going with the flow. The CircleCenter concept is contagious. It makes people feel so good that the idea spreads. Already there are CircleCenters forming all around the world, intentional "villages" aimed at sustainability--sustainability of spiritual growth, community life, healthy living, green livelihood, and care for Mother Earth.
I have found the structure and the intentional community I want to be a part of and live within. I love the heart to heart relating, just like what I find at Lightworkers.org, and the global interconnection.
In love and light, fellow star-beings,
