I figured I'd post a bulletin showing my appreciation for the 2007 Saul Willams/Trent Reznor (NIN) collabo album that took the world by storm. The Inevitable Rise and LIberation of Niggy Tardust.

For awhile now I could see that their were alot of hip hop elements in Trent Reznors music. Even in the days of Pretty Hate Machine their were samples from Public Enemy's music intertwined to add structure to NIN's debut album which took the world by storm. As time went by and NIN progressed, Trent Reznor continued to draw elements form various hip hop artists. There was even some mixing assistance from Dr. Dre on NIN's Fragile album. I guess you could say it came as no surprise to me when good ol T-Rez hooked up with Legendary hip hop artist El-P on the track "Flyentology" which was featured on El-P's most recent album titled "I'll Sleep When Your Dead". This was the track that led me to believe that something was bound to happen with Trent Reznor in the future of hip hop music.

Speaking of hip hop. I became intrigued with another particular artist a few years back who seemed to bring profound talent and philosophical stylings to the artform. This amazing, multi-talented individual is none other than the incredible Saul Williams. I dont know what it was but after I got my copy of Saul Williams last self titled album, I felt like I was given a glimpse into the future. It was also around this time that I picked up a copy of the book "The Dead Emcee Scrolls" written by (you guessed it) Saul Williams.
On one level I was deeply inspired by the book (not to mention the album) and good ol Saul Williams immediately became one of the most admired hip hop/poetic artists in my eyes. The man is literally a force of nature.

Anyhoo, I dont know if it was irony or what but when I heard that Trent Reznor asked Saul Williams to tour with him after the completion of the "Year Zero" album it all became clear. These two mutherfuckers were going to not only revolutionize music as we know it today, but they were also going to merge and unify industrial and hip hop (something I've been trying to do myself for some time). To some this comes off as no big deal but when you really look at the seed of it you can see something truly truly amazing.....
....racism and faulty, ignorant discriminations were laying down upon their death beds. By this I am referring to what these two multi talented masterminds were plotting to give birth to and that my friends......
.......is "The Inevitable Rise and Libertaion of Niggy Tardust".

I guess you can say that both Williams and Reznor shared insights that practically mirrored each other when it came to wanting to fuck up the system. Its no big mystery that everything that this country once stood for in terms of freedom and unity had been so fucking corrupted that we now live in an era where the ignorance of mankind in this country is beneath that of cavemen. I hate to say it but the majority of young media manipulated Americans has become so sickening (for lack of a better word) that........
....... I myself can barely even stomach it.
American teens inevitable quest to reach thier faulty, programmed envisoned peak of success (of being pseudo pimps, hoes, and gangsters) has reached an all time low. Its sad really but its even sadder to know that the ones responsible for this brainwashing had been inflicted by those who we've assumed would want the best for us all along. Victimization is a big money maker and when it comes to those in power, money is and will always be God.

"The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust" to me is a very important part in human history. After listening to the album I realized that Saul Williams and Trent Reznor were not only two totally amazing artists, musicians or whatever...
...they were also two of the most profound spiritual icons that this world will ever know. Saul Williams unleashes some of the most uniquely furnished, intellectual rhymes that I had ever heard. When I heard the line "I got your whole system up in my trunk" off of the first song (Black History Month) from the album I knew that it was on like Vaugh til the beak of mutheruckin dawn.
I knew that this album had layers and layers of meaning that had been building over the entire course of human history and once I started studying the lyrics I uncovered something even more profound.....
....Saul Williams is indeed what he claims to be (that being "the shepard of a bastard flock out grazing in the streets").
Not only is the music engineered by Trent Reznor on this album totally groundbreaking but its also the underlying fuel for what I take as being the voice of God carefully woven and encoded over some of the most elaborate beats ever constructed.
All I can say, is if you havent heard this album you need to. Its an amazing piece of work. So.....
.....to anyone who wants to criticize it (and write it off as lame due to its lack of crunked up, booty shaking, apathy inflicting lyrics), I deeply urge you to get your programmed head out of your ass and start aquiring some intellect. This album carefully pinpoints not only this totally alienated, oblivious lifestyle.....
.....it also pinpoints the fact that change is among you whether you like it or not.

The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust further embraces the concept of "Art being Resistance" in that sense of letting you know that creativity will live on long after the corruption and power (and fear) mongering of evil greedy men has ended.

This to me, is the most amazing (and meanignful) album of all time so uhhhh....
.....take that to the bank, cash it, and go fucking get yourself a copy.
