MAKING A DIFFERENCE

~ John & Patrice Robson
www.higherawareness.com

"The spiritual life is a call to action. But it is a call to ... action without any selfish attachment to the results."

~ Eknath Easwaran

Many of us feel deeply that we want to make a difference -- we want our lives to mean something in the bigger scheme of life.
While this is a noble motive, we might want to explore what lies at its root.

Does the drive to make a difference arise from ego’s need to feel worthy?
If my ego is not convinced that I matter, I may want visible proof that I do by making some kind of impact on life.

Soul doesn’t need proof that it’s worthy.

Soul thrives in being awake and connected.

Perhaps if we let go of the pressure we feel from our ego’s need to be recognized,
we will be more open and able to simply live soulfully.
And by doing that, we WILL make a difference!

"A person’s worth is contingent upon who he is, not upon what he does,or how much he has.
The worth of a person, or a thing, or an idea, is in being, not in doing, not in having."

~ Alice Mary Hilton

Hi Sophia!
Am Right With You

Hi Sophia!

Am right with you -- the only word -- and I am a stickler for words -- is the word MEEK. It has a historical meaning of being humble, obedient, bordering on subservient. I prefer the word "balanced," or "in harmony" which denotes an ego which is neither over-inflated or under-inflated. Neither
extreme condition serves us.

Another word which I've jettioned is SURRENDER; again, historically, it has a connotation of I WIN/YOU LOSE & has military overtones. I substitute
MERGING which has an energy of EQUALITY and WILL-INGNESS.

BE-ING "CHILD-LIKE" is magical; it's looking at experience with no preconceived ideas -- being open and curious about one's environment experiences.
Being "CHILD-ISH" is completely another energetic: behavior and reactions that are not age appropriate -- which lack maturity.

Thank you for your comments -- lovely, nourishing energy behind them. Namaste! ~*~*~*ES

How Right You Are Dear

How right you are dear Eve.
Anybody that call him or herself “light worker and doing this for his own glory, will quickly find themselves in darkness .
The honor belongs to our Source or Creator, Mother/Father God.
We are called to serve.
On the new earth you will only find the “little ones” the childlike or the meek.
We are all wonderful lights, shining ever so brightly unto the earth and into the universe, but withdrawing from our Course is  by not recognizing our Creator is the light of all.
May our lights always shine brightly by the omnipresent of the all knowing all loving Creator of all.
Much love from the golden flame.
P Sophia.

Hi Gorgeous Divine Feminine

Hi gorgeous Divine Feminine Red Head!

I was taught and conditioned to become an over-achiever and prize productivity and intellectual striving above all else. I did achieve
accolades in the INTELLECT DEPT. but this left me bereft on a SOUL LEVEL...a sort of longing that couldn't be assuaged by all the books in the world!

When I LET GO of the ACHIEVEMENT/PRODUCTIVITY PARADIGM and learned just how to BE, and at the same time, savor the richness of PHYSICALITY,
SOUL CONSCIOUSNESS, paradoxically, slowly crept in!

I have absolutely no ATTACHMENT TO OUTCOME, despite attempting to do my best -- which, to the logical mind, makes no sense whatsoever.
But "it is what it is" and there is more depth and richness in my BE-ING than via former 3-D intellectual striving.

Truly, a huge turn-around generated over many years...not the instantaneous "transformational leap, " I'm afraid! But worth every minute.

A HEART HUG -- have a lovely week-end! ~*~*~*ES
