do you ever find yourself so bored with this world you can't wait to leave?

this society i live in is so trivial. all consumed with shopping, consumption, money, politics, money, greed etc. it's boring to me. i know none of it is important and there they are running around at the speed of light trying to get more, spend more, be more - whatever. they can keep that garbage.

i guess it wouldn't be so boring if more of them would be willing to listen or have a conversation about something other than tv shows, shopping, spending, whinning about lack of this or that.

thankfully, i see the humour in everything. at least there is some entertainment value in thier shenanigans!

find the humour to ward off boredom. i should be on the floor laughing so hard i can't breathe in about 5 minutes!

hope you find something to laugh about today!

Just play. Wake up now and be lucid like a dream that you know u are dreaming. Our dreams give us so many hints. What do i do when i become lucid in a dream, I play. Play without an idea what play is soppsed to look or feel like. Live life now without any idea. Forget everything because nothing can be forgot. Forget urself because knowing nothing is freedom. There is a constant and brand new WOW that is going on right now. We just cover it up, with knowledge, with concepts and things we call boredom, boredom is an idea. u create boredom because it is ur main focus. Observe ur boredom and give attention to ur body. Dont think about it, feel it.

I Can Totally Relate To Your

i can totally relate to your thought's. i am avoiding a get together this evening because it's all my reality tv addict friends. they've never even heard of the few tv shows i will watch, so no conversation to be found there. they all shop constantly (why do people need so much crap?), and are generally unaware of anythign i find important needless to say i'll stay home and enjoy my kids. thanksully they get it in their own way!

you are blessed with the butterfly visitors (it's hummingbirds for me). listen carefully to them, they have tiny little voices with big lessons to share.

it totally makes sense. my kids help me do that everyday, but i've never gone out and intentionally done it myself. it does make things interesting again.

i guess the big question is how to get people to break away from reality tv, gossip etc and find something interesting to talk about. never mind them, i've got all my friends here to talk about important things with!

thanks for your kind words

Much Love and Many Blessings,

Yup, Sometimes...

Hi Emelar,
Sometimes this even extends to being bored with my routine. What I thought was exciting is losing its appeal ever so slowly. I used to enjoy certain activities and friends, but now even those are becoming monotonous and boring -- like a slow drone that doesn't change. For quite some time now, I also can no longer tolerate some of the conversations others engage in about reality shows...gossip...gas prices...blah, blah, blah. I don't care about that stuff. It becomes an effort to at least appear to fit in. I am often by myself as a result. I know that the layer I'm breaking through now has to do with finding what it is that brings me joy. I'm realizing it's not what I thought it was, and those activities are falling away, but I haven't come into the new that is replacing the old. It's a metamorphosis in progress. As a matter of fact, perhaps that is why I have had so many butterfies visiting me the last couple of weeks. One is a repeat visitor, and on occasion "taps" me without landing on me. Another just came a sat on the lawn next to me yesterday for a few minutes. Didn't move when I got closer to take a look and say hi. Oh well...changes ongoing each moment...

Love, Libra88 :)

This Might Seem Silly But It Works!

A CURE for boredom!!! I know this might seem silly at first, but it works. I don't take credit for it, as I learned it from Eckhart Tolle. It goes like this...

Walk outside (or you can do this anywhere, but going outside was the easiest way to try it at first ;)
DO NOT put a" label" on anything...don't label anything like...flower, tree, grass, dirt, etc.....
then, look at it like you are looking at it for the very first time!

It takes a little practice to keep the labels off, but it is like looking at the world with new eyes!
Everything becomes new again. It's REALLY cool...AND fun!!! (and a great way to get in to Presence) ;)

Love, always,
Rhea
