Is the World as we know it comming to an end?

I desire to find ways to grow spiritually and help/heal others. Recently I have begun working on becoming more in tune with my guides and psychic abilities so that I can make better choices and accelerate my spiritual growth. What would you think if somebody put a barbwire hook lines for miles in the forest catching deer, bunnies, bear, lynx, goats, wolves, and other furry cute animals would you not care? I know I would, that is what is happening in the ocean everyday killing millions of sharks everyday.
The shark population has decreased by 90% since the 50's.
