SAN PEDRO – THE SACRED CACTUS OF THE ANDES

San Pedro, also known by its indigenous name, Wachuma, is the name given to the Healing and Teaching cactus that grows in Peru. This sacred cactus is well named for it's healing, cleansing, enlightening and freeing powers. The cactus is known to be very wise, and able to take one's consciousness to a clearer level of understanding.

This beautiful plant has amazing healing abilities and will locate the source of any dis-ease, discomfort, or ailment one may have, including having extraordinary impacts on alcoholism and drug addiction. San Pedro has been known to perform miracles with cancer, HIV, and other terminally ill dis-eases. It is known to be highly successful in transmuting emotional and mental issues, also.

From a theoretical point of view, there is a division between 'mind' and 'body,' and the expectations of a mental aspect representing the body and the environment. It is difficult to predict what the effect of this medicinal plant will have on each individual, according to preparation, amount, environment, expectations, and the particular person's needs and desires on a soul level.

The "magic" that occurs under the influence of this indigenous cactus is why the native peoples refer to the "Spirit Of The Plant."

Each Spirit is autonomous, and holds its own strength and healing powers. This Spirit overcomes the mind/body split, or complex. This Great Teacher and Healing plant reveals to us the human arrogance and falsity associated with the attitude that everything can be controlled through the physical or mental disciplines; the 3rd dimensional properties.

Also, San Pedro intensifies the five senses and awakens the sixth sense.
