* At all times try to sense the energy of the intent behind what you see – the root of the pain or ego. This takes practice and any energy healing work will heighten this ability as well as meditation. Your higher perception will help you choose the best response to any situation.

My first point from my summary I will explore more fully:

Because we are ascending and yet we are still living in and with third dimension situations, people and residual effects of third dimension intentions and actions, our common usual responses to these types of situations may yield third dimension responses. This can be frustrating to us because we often are aware that our responses should be more "enlightened". For example, a boss may reprimand us and we react harshly, or another person may come into good fortune and we instantly feel jealousy, or even we find ourselves getting locked into viewpoints of abundance from the third dimension that have little to do with how we really want to live. So in order to respond in a more enlightened manner, 5d, we need to begin to get familiar with those types of responses and be able to ascertain when someone is functioning in 3d or 5d to begin with.

What many people refer to as intuitive gifts or psychic development is in essence our ability to sense energy - we can sense energy of thoughts, people, places and the higher dimensions where possible outcomes are stored. So in order for us to become more energy sensitive we may first want to gauge where we are. Sensing energy or intuiting is not some special trait that only a few exhibit. We all have it and can develop it. Sensing energy can use any of the five senses: knowing, feeling, touching, hearing, visioning. At any time most of us experience sensing energy in one or two of these senses. We know a phone will ring, we know someone isn't feeling well or we know that a job or person can be right or wrong for us. I have done intuitive readings for many years and so many people will comment on their intuitive senses and not realize that it was intuition. First of all do not be afraid of sensing energy of anything. When people receive warnings they tend to turn off their ability to sense. But warnings come through loud and clear for a reason - so one can act even if the act is only to send prayer or energy. Once one gets used to using their sensitivity they can use it for purposes as mundane as finding a good parking spot.

In order to sense energy more practice meditation every day. If you can learn reiki - if you cannot ask for the heightened sense of awareness to come to you. There are many good guided meditations that allow for energy to flow but the old way of meditation especially in nature may yield just as good of results. As you meditate visualize first your third eye opening and then visualize your entire energy field expanding - first a few feet in front of you and then up and down begin to see the energy of your aura moving gracefully. Then go internally visualize energy rising up through your chakras and back down and then above your crown chakra. Practice this often and you will begin to sense energy. With ease allow any thoughts to come to you and observe only don't judge. Your mind may go through a bit of a dumping period where you release past memories and imagined fears. Then spend time getting used to sensing energy in practical ways such as beginning to sense the aura of any living thing or object. Place your hands above the plant, animal or object about an inch to two inches and see what you sense. Try to find the "heart" of the object if it is inaminate. Don't judge what you are sensing just note differences. You may choose to keep a journal to write down your observations. Remember during these times of practice you are not judging your ability to do this - you are practicing and so there is no right or wrong. You may begin to note real distinctions between energy fields. As you practice this over time you will learn to discern the sensory thoughts from the thoughts that stem from your own fears. Regular meditation helps us to trust in the universe and slowly those fear thoughts lose form and we are more likely to be able to sense what is rather than what we fear could be.

As you are doing these exercises you may want to call upon your guides in the spirit realm, whatever you choose, as they will help you. If you feel at all insecure or worried about drawing anything simply visualize a circle of white light around you and declare out loud that only those spirit guides with higher intentions are allowed. Declaration is one of those little used spiritual laws - when you set boundaries in energy they are set.

Now as you journey through your days, and you are enjoying regular meditation, as you go to work, to the grocery store, restaurants, etc. before you walk into any place take a moment to sense the energy there. Just take a deep breath and ask your higher self to open up so that you can sense. If you have to pretend you are looking for your phone or keys, just take moment. This again with practice will grow.

Soon you will get into the practice of this and then be able to translate this ability to sense to people. But, what you may need to do before you sense anything about anybody is to release your viewpoint or preconceived ideas about them. Just release your ego and/or your need to control, dominate or help anyone else - go into detached observer mode and just sense the energy of them. One way is to look beyond them slightly with a soft gaze. You can practice this with a willing participant by having them stand in front of a dark door or wall (cloth works too). This again takes practice and you can recognize that you are sensing energy by any of your senses. You may see colors, or just know or sense smell, or feel like you are hearing what they are saying before they say anything.

When you begin to sense energy of another it is important to not jump to judgment but try to identify instead - identify the energy and ask your higher self if their energy stems from pain or fear or love and ease. You will ultimately begin to really sense the energy of people even if their words say otherwise. Their words may say otherwise because there is a lot of promotion of fear in the world right now. They may also mistakenly believe that their ability to garner power might be what matters most.

Why this is important for 5d in a 3d world, is often what 3d people are expressing is a lot of fear and confusion because they may be sensing that they need to begin ascension process and may be clinging to old ways of thinking.

For example, a mother of a friend of mine always responds to her daughter in fear - the daughter tires of the fear mongering and yet the aging mother may be seeking validation that she still matters. There may be energy balls of fear bouncing back and forth. Responding to the energy can help to create a bridge of love rather than responding to the words that speak of fear. By learning to respond to the energy one can begin to respond more compassionately and not respond to what may be projected toward you. When we respond solely to what is projected toward us we have more of a likelihood to get into 3d power plays and emotional spars. It is not that you will not be listening to their words you will get a greater sense of the energy behind the words and be able to help them heal or be a light of understanding on a deeper level. If you feel that what energy is being projected toward you is so negative you cannot get around it - then send the person light energy by visualizing a ball of light streaming from your heart chakra to theirs. Then physically remove yourself from their presence - being able to sense energy does not mean one negates healthy boundaries.

As you practice sensing energy you will begin more and more to feel expansiveness and that expansion will help you to know your direction and the flow of your life but you will be less apt to feel weighed down by 3d situations that pull on your energy. You will find that when you sense energy you may feel like you have a greater choice of who you want in your life, what work you want and what you don't want - you will practice discernment based upon energy sensitivity. But, for those who feel stuck in a job they may hate or feel like they cannot leave a negative relationship sensing energy and choosing 5d type responses may bring more light into the situations and allow the light to help facilitate change.

As we grow in sensing energy we will be drawn to more lightworkers and those who are in their ascension process no matter what level, we may also be able to sense the areas of our lives, our towns, our world that are being weighted down and begin to be a part of the healing process by sending energy but also taking effective action. You will find that you have a higher perception and this more enlightened perception will take you to places where you know you can be an even greater source of light.

What bogs us down at times is our inability to translate the energy we are feeling from ourselves and from others. Practicing sensing energy can help us to learn a new language of light which may be the language that will ultimately speak volumes.
