It is a time to 'Honor the Dead' which can apply to friends and family who are no longer on this plane of existence with us, though their essence never dies and is most accessible at this time. Or it can also apply to your Being, your creative projects, cycles in your life that are now complete. In between a completion and initiating a new cycle, project or part of your Self, a 'time-out' ~ rest ~ reverence ~ reflection are all highly recommended.

Astrologically, Mercury will have finally come out of the Shadow of its Retrograde, making revelations common and more clarity available.

Also, Samhain (prounouced sa-win) is the final of the *8* Sacred Seasons of the Solar year when people who honor Mother Earth celebrate each turn of the wheel, each cycle. This is the season between Fall Equinox and Winter Solstice, so there is an element of 'harvest' still going on, however, it is more of a preparation for winter when Mother Earth rests in part of the world so that She can nourish the other half of the world. So too, should our focus shift toward *BALANCE*.

Astrologically, all *8* Sacred Seasons correspond to degrees of the zodiac. Samhain is honored at 15 degrees Scorpio. All planets travel through signs at 30 degree increments. 0-10 is the initiation of the new expression of energy, 11-20 is the peak of energy, and 21-30 is the completion. This is a time when the Scorpio energy and all it is good for is strongest.

So when the great word "Mother!" rang once more,
I saw at last its meaning and its place;
Not the blind passion of the brooding past,
But Mother -- the World's Mother -- come at last,
To love as she had never loved before --
To feed and guard and teach the human race.
